So, it's been almost a year since I've posted on this, and my last post was a video of my mom watching 2girls1cup, so this journal is pretty much a joke at this point. Anyway, I did this a couple years ago, and I really want to put my thoughts down just for myself. If it stimulates some discussion, then sweet

with the big money teams not making k-rod runs, wouldn't that drive his price down? i mean, i've heard so much talk about the post-career year fall off...and i know that baseball is traditionally a numbers game (coughsheffield?)...but why not make a run at him? if you trade magglio and lose the face of your franchise, k-rod seems like he is animated enough to draw some fan appeal. not only that, but if his numbers did fall off by 50%, he would still be around the league average.

i wouldn't mind seeing them part ways with robertson. there has to be some NL team that would love him if he starts off the season with some improvement. i don't think he has the mental build to be a starter but for some reason professional baseball teams maintain that "i'm paying all this money so i'm going to justify it by playing underproducing players in important roles" mentality. i'd even consider ditching sheffield.
