kerry. why? - he is not bush. - he supports a womans right to choose, among other rights for women. - he does not support gay marriage, but supports civil unions, giving gay couples the same rights as straight couples. he believes that the tradition of "marriage" is more of a religious based tradition (in all religions, not just christianity), which does make sense. i, personally, still feel that gay couples should be able to get married and use the term "marriage," but i think kerry has his head on straight. you have to realize that he has a lot of people to please, pro and anti gay marriage. - he uses complete sentences and proper grammar. dear god, that is refreshing._ i believe that his history in vietnam is very important. many people do not realize that he was in a division of the navy that put him inside enemy lines. he had to kill a man to save his life, among the lives of his fellow soldiers. taking a life for a reason he felt was not just is what made him so opposed to the war. he was opposed to the "kill or get killed,"
