I wanted to be in one of those pageants /random

Compared to the Miss Plastic Surgery of China last year, which is preferable? Canidates who openly admit plastuc asurgery and know the pagent is nothing but artifical beauty...or Miss USA where they won't say it's about artifical beauty (but you know it is) and uses things like "talent" to hide that fact? Or are beauty pageants in our time impossible, thinking about the change in height and weight for Miss USA over the years and so on...?

I'd much rather they be upfront about it. One thing I loved so much about The Swan was that the girls didn't lie about what they did in order to improve their self image, and defied the stereotype that plastic surgery is shallow, useless and won't help people feel better about themselves. It was inspirational, you know? Whereas the rest of these pageants try to act like it's some huge secret, and something to feel bad about. So hipocritical.

I guess the only way to justify it is to say that these girls are amazing philanthropists with oodles of talent, though all my favorites from the talent competition never win :\ And i agree with you, I never find pageant girls to be extraordinary beauties. I always think they are pretty, but they're just safe pretty, nothing out of the ordinary. Its terribly boring, so i didnt bother watching this year.

And no one should have huge boobies without the curves to back it up. ugh >

Not these girls, no sir! They said nothing about doing social work, there was no talent competition, and they were judged strictly based on their creepy appearance. ;o;

holy shit, there isnt a talent competition anymore? God, thats disgusting. I thought at least a portion of someone who caries a title that is supposed to be representative of the American female ideal should be judged based on their dedication to their community, and ability to do more than walk upright with a smile in heels.

Ugh, thats just so pathetic. Where the hell is our generation going...?

Oh shit, I forgot that was going to be on! X_X I totally missed it! *cries* (I usually watch it religiously every year while treating it like a football game and cursing when my state's chick doesn't make it. Oh that bitch is going DOWN! >o)

here they are for above people. :D I deffinately don't think they're unattractive or heaven forbid 'horse women'. Actually most of them look downright stunning in photos and the reason their ribcage was showing during the swimsuit competition is cause they're breathing the fuxx in, not cause they're all twigs. (they look healthy to me)

PS. Half these girls look frighteningly like Kelly Ripa. :(

Those are heavily airbrushed and purposefully angled pics. Trust me, live tv doesn't lie...these were horse women with freakish bodies. :x
