The beginning bit is just random. Josh Hartnett was a hitman, that's why he killed that chick and Becky.
Goldie fucked priests and they were GOING to eat her since she knew so much, but she liked public places too much.
Chronological order would have been nice, though 8D. Since Marv's story happens at the END. Dwight's is the middle (The whole face thing relates to a storyline with Marv and Dwight that happened in the comics), and Hartigan's is the beginning.
Well, the thing you have to understand to get the jumping around thing is that the movie was basically an amalgam of three separate comic issues. The girl at the very beginning was (though I'm not completely sure of this; this is a hypothesis me and most other people have made) a person similar to Becky, who betrayed close friends and basically screwed a bunch of things up. Hence the reappearance of whoever Josh Hartnett's character was at the end to Becky. Goldie was the entire premise behind the story titled, "A Dame to Kill For". That's basically all she was there for. And I'm not sure who you're referring to when you say "that guy a fall-man".
I don't know if I want to see Amityville Horror, but I do want to see that new horror movie coming out in the summer that's based in Louisiana. XD;;;
The comics are better, in my opinion, cause a lot of the lines that seemed cheesy in the movie played out better in the comics. Something about the drawings... but they changed the format of the series now that the movie's out, so booooo.
I think some things just don't transmit as well when spoken. Like watching subtitled anime, it sounds good, but if it's a good subtitle it'll be pretty true to the actual Japanese and thus sound weird when you actually try to SAY it. Also, there was some bad acting involved. Most of it was stylized, and merely took a bit of getting used to, but the girl who played Goldie just came out POORLY DONE. >_<;; "Kill him good" was a particularly painful line.
I saw Sin City twice to understand everything, but it was already explained =(. Amityville was...yea...the part with the wife and the ax I was like "OH HELL YEA!" but then it went back and I knew it was gonna be a shitty end... I think the only reason I think that movie is scary is because I have this thing where I just KNOW some horrific thing is gonna be behind me or on the other side of my certin when I'm showering, and it's gonna jump out and touch me...so the part with the little boy, peeing in the bathroom, and when he washes his hands...that made me FREAK OUT...but only because it's my biggest fear in the frikken inside of my head...~shivver~ ;_; now I can't shower...
Holy fuck...it is -so- weird you say that. I have the very same fear. I literally check behind my shower curtain no less than twice when I shower. It's especially awful when you're rinsing your hair. I didn't use to be like that, but after living in my old house for five years I'm paranoid. You could really feel things watching you there, especially from doorways. I never leave doors open after I go into a room now, either. ;o;
HOLY SHIT!!! I'm acctually most scared when I'm washing my face...cuz no matter what I'm blind X_x And I'm such a FREAK about my door being closed =o and knocking...oooo if you don't knock I spend 5 min.s just explaining how IMPORTANT it is to knock...
MeeTooo...sept for the while hounted-the-man-WILL-kill-you thing..
