Bono

Oct 06, 2006 13:54

At a u2 concert in glasgow, Bono asked the audience for some quiet.

Then in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands.

Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone

"every time i clap my hands, a child in africa dies".

A voice from near the front pierced the silence,

"well, stop fucking doing it then."

*chuckle*

Bono takes himself far too seriously. Good music, shame about the git at the front of the band.
It's easy to be morally superior when you have 20 million quid!

People go to gigs to have fun and escape, not to be depressed. If it mattered that much to him, he could sell all his belongings and save a good ten thousand people from poverty.

In brighter news: Going to the Marquee/80's night tonight?

Really made me laugh...

I'm not entirely sure what Bono's actually been doing, what with the G8 summits etc and hanging around Bush.
