i'll go over the black sometime this week.
i downloaded quite a few mary lou lord songs off soulseek this weekend. she used to date kurt cobain & this song is about her not fitting in with his scene, i like it & it's cool because it mentions bands i like.
i don't think i fit in to his indie world, guided by voices and velocity girl, eric's trip and rocketship, rancid, rocket from the crypt, bikini kill & built to spill; it's plain to see that i don't fit. he says my songs are too deep & gloomy, he wishes that i could be more like janie toony. just give me my joni, my nick, neil, & bob; you can keep your tsunami, your slant 6 and smog. what's the story? he says. what's the news? he says the silver jews. his heavenly hang-up is getting me down & it's making me wonder why he's hanging around. 'cause i don't fit into his indie scene; huggy bear & helium & half-japanese, sebadoh & sentridoh & superchunk and & i don't know; doug & lou & calvin too & kim & kim & kim & kim. yeah i'm stuck in the past & he's stuck on his four track, but i can't get through to his one track mind. play & record & major chord and maybe i will win his heart this time. yeah maybe i'll win his heart this time.
