This is going to sound ultra lame and probably won't make sense, but I'm coming up with it off the top of my head just because I'm in that kinda mood...
Happiness is what you make of it. If you refuse to be happy, there's no need for you to complain about it afterwards. If you at least make the effort and attempt to be happy, then kudos, but maybe you're not trying hard enough. Questioning happiness will not make you happy. It'll make you wonder about all emotions and will in return make you sad at one point, maybe even angry at one point, but only if you're taking on those emotions when you're thinking of them. Trying to be someone else also will not truly make you happy. Be yourself. Don't try to make others happy... please yourself before others, whether that makes you conceited or not.
I'm in a very contemplated mood, and not all that applies to you... I just feel like writing stuff.
