Why the interest in geography?

i used to know a lot of these things, and i don't, and it's disappointing to me.

i've been thinking recently about how, as a kid, i was curious about anything. everything. but now, based on a lot, i've had to pare my interests down to a few key kinds of topics.

i'd like to re-expand my interests, to the best of my ability.

ps - have you ever seen a picture of a fjord? they're beautiful.

I become fairly familiar with that feeling too; good luck.

Haha, I just did a google search for "fjord" because I couldn't connect the name to an image. That isn't to say I had no sense of the word, though: I recently finished "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," in which fjords come up a lot (for no good reason). You haven't read it by any chance--have you?

You should especially learn about pingos because when pingos collapse in on themselves they are called ognip and that is the funniest thing in the world to me. I never tire of it. You could call me on the phone and just say 'OGNIP' and I would totally crack up.

If you can, read Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. That book was an experience. I read it in three days and I feel like it changed my whole life. Not to build it up so high it comes tumbling down...but I think you'd enjoy it.

I think this to myself as I stare at the other Safron Foer book I plan to read for break. BUT FINALS ARE NOW. STOP THINKING ABOUT BREAK. STOPSTOPSTOPOSTOPSTOPIT. So I'll turn away and start some more studying.
