i have been doing nothing all day except looking a disneyland secrets and myths and such.
i cant think of a better place to work, even if you had to clean the bathrooms or somesing, atleast you're in on all the secrets
-In August 1970, Disneyland was literally invaded by several
Yippies who planned the stunt as an attack on what they saw as bloated establishment decadence. In their leaflets, they stated they would help "liberate"
Minnie Mouse. They raised a
Viet Cong flag on Tom Sawyer's Island, filled the now-closed Inner Space
dark ride with
marijuana smoke, and caused the closing of the park for the rest of the day until they were rounded up by police. 1970 was a common year starting on Thursday.
-All recorded music and sounds that you hear in the rides and throught the park constantly run. It is more costly for Disneyland to shut the sound off and restart the system every day. The only time sound actually gets shut off is when there is an Emergency stop or large system failure, ie a massive power loss, emergency shut down or other sorts of emergencies. Most notable is It's a small world - the dolls may stop moving, but the music still plays and the Haunted Mansion - The buggies stop and the animatronics still move and the voiceover says there is a ghoul in the system with no music, but the when music does resume after the voiceover, it has been playing on.
-Main Gate keeps a list of undesirables and their descriptions (anna, bethany, chelsea and i will be on that list someday...probably soon)
-There is a whole crew just to dust the window sills on Main Street.
-After months of rodent infestation, Disneyland finally sought to check the rodent population by natural selection. They brought in cats to hunt them down. Wild cats still roam the park to this day, appearing late at night and early in the mornings, wisely hiding from the public during business hours. The cats still reside in the park, recently over 100 were found living in Cinderalla's castle.
