Everything since Hurricane Katrina hit has been fucking surreal. I left Mississippi today. I'm in Texas right now staying with my Aunt for I don't know how long and I'm not quite sure I want to go back to Mississippi. I tried calling you when I heard it was going to hit MS hard, I wasn't sure exactly where you were or if you would go, or where you would go if you did leave. But yeah, it didn't go through, so I figured it was due to the power and the hurricane itself and all of that. I'm happy to know you're safe, I was really worried.

It's scary to me too, and I don't have to see any of that. Whole cities just totally nothing anymore. It's the scariest thing in the world. That could be anyone, you know? But I love you, and I'm glad you're doing all right. I don't pray, really. But I might try. If I don't, everyone's still in my thoughts, and I hope you can get in touch with your friends and mother soon. <3

Ahhh I was thinking about you when I heard about Katrina. That is absolutely horrible. All week I've been keeping up to date on the disaster and it's just heartbreaking. I can't imagine what it's like to be in your shoes right now, God bless you. I'm glad you're still alive though. Hopefully you'll hear from your mom soon. Stay strong love. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks so much, Katie. That means a lot. I've been keeping up to date too but it just hurts too much to hear about it all the time all over the news. I'm not worried about my possessions or anything I'm just happy to be here. I still feel horrible for everyone whose lost someone they love and the people who are still out there in New Orleans..I wish there was something I could do. Anyways, thanks again. Much love.

Thanks a lot, Megan. I respect you a lot for posting that comment. It made me feel somewhat better. I agree with everything you said above, Bush is an asshole and I honestly don't think he is doing shit to help out. Anyways, thanks again for commenting. It meant a lot.
