Words aren't very good at conveying emotion at times. And not knowing you as well as I should, I'm not sure what I could say even if I could find the right words. But If I wrote nothing in this box, you wouldn't know that I wish I could do something.

2 yrs and a week ago today I was holding my great-uncles hand in a hospital in Hackney whilst he died. I wasn't close to him, but it was a profoundly momentous occasion. It's impossible to be unaffected whilst someone dies or is dying in front of you.
One of my oldest friends has just gone back to Nigeria today for his dads funeral.
Next week is the two year anniversary of my dad's death.

Whether you need consolation or not, being affected by the experience is what helps to give that persons life more respect and recognition.
Big hugs.

*Hugs* to you
Thank you for coming out to the pub anyway - was nice to see someone I knew (besides Nik). I hope it cheered you up a bit.
*More hugs*
