So sorry for the lack of posts. Things have been a little busy lately, with school work and all. NEWTs are coming up, incase you hadn't realised. And I hope you have, because I really haven't been doing my job if you haven't.

Not all of us are going to be attending for the drunken orgy, Hermione. I agree that it's kind of ridiculous to have a dance for every holiday, but I think this may be a good way to lighten the mood a little. To get everyone's minds off of everything that isn't the dance for a night. One night. When we don't have to think about what happened. When we don't have to think about NEWTs. When we don't have to think about anything except for having a good time.

And that doesn't necessarily have to mean "drunken orgy" good time. Some of us are planning on having a sober good time.

I never said all would be participating. But do you honestly believe everyone feels the same?

No. I don't honestly think everyone feels the same way. I've never said or thought that the majority of this school is sane. I know that a large number of people like to drink to forget. I know a large number of people like to drink to have a good time.

But I don't think that you should rule out a school event that could be fun because some people are going to attend intoxicated. If that was the case, you wouldn't go to classes sometimes.

Yeah, it's a silly reason to have a dance. Most of the reasons the professors decide to have dances are silly. But holing yourself up in the common room does not sound like a fantastic plan. Or a fun one.
