Katie the dog is eternal

Last friday my family was informed that if Katie the dog did not respond to a dose of medication, given to her in an injection form to help her pain she was experiencing all over her body, we would have to decide whether or not to put her down.  She could not walk, and she was in so much pain simply because she was getting too old.
