Ok that was a very well written blog and I agree with most of what you said except for your call for people to write them hate mail. By doing that you sink to their level and in general you are no better than them. The best thing to do would be to appeal to the people that give them power. The TV shows and radio shows that allows these people to get publicity. Send them letters letting them know that they are alienating a large and powerful portion of this country by allowing the message of hate to spread. Also find out where they are going to be protesting and show up there in force. When the WBC showed up to protest Matthew Shepard's funeral they were surrounded by supporters of Shepard and kept them from making any real impact. Out number them wherever they go and keep them from getting the national publicity they are getting. That way you stay above them and can help make this group what they really are, a scared, weak group of children.
