I was waiting for a call from Dave when I decided to read some of my stories written awhile back.
&one that was recent, for an English assignment. I decided to post them so, here.
A synchronized pattern of dark and light blue stretched across God’s horizon as patches of white clouds fell upon it blocking out the suns rays that barely peeked through the dead tree limbs. Overhead a flock of blue jays flew in a perfectly symmetrical “V” shape squawking and chirping as they sooner reached their offspring on the swaying trees neighboring the corner food mart. Rows of fresh picked apples from Old Kirk’s orchard as well as ripe peaches and green grapes lined the outside corner of the store. On the opposing side of the mart there were exquisite bouquets of flowers placed carefully in a beautiful design which was most appealing to those who walked by.
A sharp ding was heard as a tall slender man walked out of the store with a plastic bag full of fresh blueberries packed tight in clear containers in one hand along with several pie crusts in the other, as an older women in her seventies slowly followed him behind. He carried them effortlessly, hardly making a muscle in his finely honed and extremely tan forearm. He gently handed the bags to the women as she thanked him. He leaned into her, kissed her leather toned cheek, and walked off into the streets following the yellow line that bisected the road. His long disheveled hair fell in his face hiding hazy blue eyes that glistened constantly even when shadows replaced the suns light. A white cotton-blend beater tightly wrapped around his chest as a button down shirt loosely dangled over down to his prominent elbow. Head lights in the distance flashed in his face, as he squinted and gradually strolled over to the curb. A yellow hummer rushed by with familiar faces peering out the window shouting at the man as he continued to walk on the sidewalk with his hands dug deep into denim pockets. As he fiddled with a little hole he noticed at the seam of his pocket, the clouds increasingly shifted away from the sun, brightening the streets with blinding light.
With one swift jolt of his head his attention was brought onto a beautiful girl in skin tight jeans, a white belly shirt revealing her naval piercing with a detailed golden charm of Tinker Bell on it, red high heels matching her abnormally large earrings, with a cross hanging from a golden chain loose around her neck, sitting at an outdoor coffee table at the café across the street sipping an espresso while accompanied by one of Sarah Dessen’s most prized novels. Her long blonde curls gleamed in the sunlight as they tumbled upon her lap; as she tenderly pulled them away from her face, resting her head on the palm of her hand.
He stared passionately at her for a total of five minutes before he opted to work up the courage to join her at her table and make light conversation. He made his way across the street, pivoting back and forth still undecided on how to confront her. Each step he took toward that café his heartbeat seemed to increase immensely. It was rare for him to get so jittered when approaching women but he had been so star struck since the first moment he laid eyes on her that he couldn’t seem to calm himself down. He reached the stop sign at the corner of the sidewalk and leaned back on the rough brick wall of the food mart glancing ahead at the girl not making it seem too obvious that he had gone out of his way to meet her. He crept closer and closer reassuring himself every step of the way. He came to a halt in the middle of the road as a pack of boisterous eight year olds rode by on their bikes tooting their horns persistently. He rolled his eyes and smiled widely as if it hadn’t bothered him, and continued to stride along.
She shut the book and hastily finished up the last bit of her espresso. In deafening silence, she stood up, rearranging her necklace so the cross still suspended above her cleavage, wiping any coffee residue visible on her upper lip. There wasn’t much time left to introduce himself so he walked more quickly towards her. As he drew closer to her he moistened his chapped lips and opened his mouth ready to compliment her on her astounding beauty just when another man about the same height, with blonde spiked hair came up to her, grasped both of her hands; clutched in his, pulled her close against his muscle tight shirt that protruded his strapping biceps, and kissed her on her tender plump lips.
His whole world crashed at that moment and every thought of happiness he could have imagined for himself suddenly vanished into thin air like another magic trick. Musty clouds filled the sky overhead as rain drops gradually plummeted onto hot tar giving off a scent much like burning flames being extinguished and smoke filling the atmosphere. He slowly treaded over to the table she had stood up from and sat down in despair watching the couple as they gallivanted off into the distance.
..Rain drops increasingly fell harder and heavier, forming massive puddles on the streets that splashed up onto the curb after being driven in. Overhead clouds repeatedly thundered frightening the man sitting glum at the coffee table with his face sunk into his forearms. Water rapidly flowed down his back soaking his white beater, moistening his silky skin.
Ladies perfume overcame the scent of smoke as a petite, slim woman with long brown hair that descended into her cleavage was holding an umbrella with a blue and white flower décor standing still near his table.
“Excuse me sir,” she said softly as she lightly tapped him on his shoulder.
He hesitantly lifted his head up from his damp arm and glimpsed up at the women in awe.
“It looks like you could use one of these” as she glared up at her umbrella that hovered over her keeping her arid from the rain.
A gaping smile appeared on his face as she reached out to grab his hand and yank him out of his seat. He stood up, wiped the water from his eyes, held out his hand and shook hers getting a feel of her tight and supple fingers. He recreated the image of the previous girl and what he planned on saying to her.
“Hi, I’m Isabelle.”
“Beautiful name for such a beautiful girl,” he commented as she chuckled and smiled showing flawless teeth that shimmered brightly. He grinned back and clenched her hand, filling his fingers in the spaces that separated hers, holding it as they strode along the sidewalk becoming more and more remote from the café.
Amazing; how at the moment somebody can give up completely on love and pure bliss a certain someone is there to revive them from their misery and anguish.
The Results of Relationships When Disrespect is Revealed
Disrespect is a loss for appreciation. It lacks differential regard for another. A feeling as negative as this is necessary to avoid when in a healthy relationship. Showing respect is key when trying to gain respect in return. Without respect, you might as well give up on the person you are searching for. Disrespect terminates love. If you are looking for love, let that person know that you respect them.
My best friend has always been a good hearted, caring person just looking for that boy to change her life. She always tends to get emotionally involved quickly with guys so it’s always harder when something goes wrong and she doesn’t know how to break things off.
Sometime last year it occurred to her that this good-looking boy in her grade found interest in her and she in return liked him as well. Despite his unethical background of smoking and trouble-making she couldn’t help but gradually fall in love with him.
She was never happy with him smoking around her, or the fact that he smoked at all. He tried to quit, but never could, not even for her. She was aware of her friends’ dislike for him and the fact that he was trouble. She had many reasons to end things with him but she never had the courage or strength too go through with it. He never really did anything to her that would be reasonable for her to do it anyways. That is, until he got a tad more controlling.
Her boyfriend had had sex once or twice before with girls he had dated in the past. She accepted it but never revealed the fact that she wasn’t completely tolerable with it. It is common for guys who are no longer a virgin to assume that they will get sex from their future girlfriends. My friend was not ready to take on the responsibility that comes along with this so she never tried to rush into things.
However, over the months they were dating, he became more and more aggressive, probably without even realizing it. They would always fool around to a certain extent at which my friend was comfortable. What she wanted out of the relationship didn’t coincide with what he wanted. At this point he would attempt to go further with her, whether she approved or not. With her being so attached, and not knowing what to do, she had a small chance of stopping him. She was afraid that he would stop liking her if she put her foot down and told him to stop forcing her. So she ignored it and let him do as he pleased.
Fortunately, this didn’t result in sex. She had the sense to end things with him before it got to that. She had come to realize that he had no respect for her and her needs. She couldn’t trust him like she thought she could and for that, she knew what she had to do. It was hard to overcome but she terminated the relationship and regrets ever being with him to this very day.
Somewhere inside herself she knew that he couldn’t have been the man that he led on to be. His actions were in no way showing any respect that she deserved. Without respect, you don’t have trust, and without trust, it’s not a relationship worth sticking around for. It took her far too long to understand this concept; she only hopes that she’ll act smarter the next time.
I haven't seen Dave AT ALL today.
I really wish he'd come over.
