The air inside the club was hot and stuffy, much like the night air outside. The scent of bodies and pumping blood filled the air around Trinity as she made her way through the crowd, her eyes slowing trailing across bodies and faces as she went ( Read more... )

It was always difficult to get good promotional shots in places like these. It wasn't that the club didn't have a force to it, a thrumming life that ran through the bodies and the lights and the music all at once-

-it was simply that attraction and life in that form was hard to capture on film.

The trick was finding a way to express it and describe it without words. He needed something to contrast the pulsing rhythm with. He needed something in the shot that was part of the scene, but detached in a way that would emphasize the rest.

He needed something like...her.

His eyes focused acutely through the camera lens in front of him, he tried to find an angle with which he could capture her and the crowd.

But she was on the move, and a blurred picture wouldn't do.

Trinity stopped her slow-moving search through the crowd when she felt eyes following her. Turning around, she scanned faces until her gaze fell on not a pair of eyes, but a camera.

For a moment, Trin wasn't sure what to think of it.

Over the music, she detected the faint click and shudder of the camera and Trinity turned back around, curious to see if the photographer would follow.

The one shot had likely been all he would need, but he didn't feel comfortable hedging his bets. Dodging a rather enthusiastic pair that had just stumbled up to the bar nearby, he slipped into the crowd reluctantly, careful to keep his fingers ready on the camera in case a shot caught him by surprise.

There was nothing he hated more than a missed opportunity.

For a moment, he believed he had lost her, but just as he was beginning to let a low curse tumble over his lips, he spotted her on the move again.

He tailed close behind.

She was closed to the door before Trinity finally stopped weaving in and out of the crowd and looked back.

The boy with the camera still followed.

Her lips turned up into an ever so slight smile before Trinity slipped out of the club and into the night air.
