I havent actually watched Merlin yet, Im a bit aprehensive about watching s2 so I think Im just gonna wait til all the eps have aired and then watch it all at once. But everything I've been reading about Arthur and Arthur/Merlin has left me a little off. I think when some writers go in with the intention of pursuing a relationship it can feel forced and everything else suffers for it and from what I've read they are trying so hard with Gwen/Arthur that they just forget about every one else.
I think the lack of Arthur/Morgana is appalling, I mean im not a hardcore shipper like you but they had such a strong relationship and dynamic in s1 and it seems to have just dissapeared. Ok you want us to believe that they have a bro/sis relationship, fine, but bro/sis actually have scenes together you idiots.
Also Colin/Angel have the most natural chemistry on the show IMO, there scenes are ALWAYS a joy to watch reguardless on whether you ship them or not.
they are trying so hard with Gwen/Arthur that they just forget about every one else. THIS. God, you have no idea how true this is. It's even OVERTAKING Arthur/Merlin in a LOT of ways. Arthur is being so OOC it's not even funny. :O He barely SMILES AT ALL. Yes it pisses me off lol.
Ok you want us to believe that they have a bro/sis relationship, fine, but bro/sis actually have scenes together you idiots. ITA. And here I was ALL worried about *that* but now they don't even have any scenes to be worried about. LMFAO.
;) Oh Rupert is AWESOME! Uther as a character though? Not so much. I don't know how to read that guy. One second is pretty great, then he's a bastard again.
Yeah I mean Im a Merlin/Arthur shipper though I dont expect to see them making out or anything on the show but in s1 they were so great together and they had so many scenes and now its like Arthur just doesnt care about anyone but himself and Gwen.
LOL You so have nothing to worry about, though it sucks that they have no scenes.
Yeah Im always on the fence with Uther, like in that scene where he's crying over Arthur's body, God that was so emotional and amazing but then he does something else and im like 'um why are you so mean?' lol.
And I agree; I'm too on the fence with Uther. If Rupert wasn't playing the character, I'd absolutely detest him! Considering how Uther acts 90 % of the time ;)
Totally awesome post sweetie. I approve. In a perfect world, there'll be plenty of Arthur/Morgana, but at this point I'm just happy that Morgana gets a decent storyline after the extreme lack of her that we've experienced at certain times. Even though I adore A/Mo I still can't feel that my main investment is in Morgana as a character rather than her relationship with Arthur since it's already a long shot. I can see myself shipping Merlin/Morgana (while trying my absolute best to ignore Gwen/Arthur. I'm sure they're very cute and all but to be honest, I can't really seem to care that much about them).
I'll probably watch this episode an insane amount of times.
The special effects during the scorpion scene were horrendous but it was still an awesome episode.
Thank you for this summary and pic spam! I'm in the US so I won't be seeing the ep for awhile (can't download) so I am very appreciate of your efforts. :) I suppose I am just desperate but even seeing ArMor on the horse together gave me a tiny thrill. My imagination will have to fill in the blanks!
I tought it was so patetic the way they're trying to hide A/M chemistry! I mean, not one scene and when they're together, the camera is far far away... NOT.NICE! I have a feeling I won't enjoy the other episodes lol... Except when L/G kiss and Arthur looks patetic (I am beeing too evil? *innocent
( ... )
ugh, I'm so mad with TPTB that I forgot to mention the best thing of this episode... Morgana!!!! I think she is more powerful than Merlin! I was scared for her! It was such an amazing episode, not like the first two of this season! Ironic huh?? I guess it depends on the character for the episode to be great! This show needs more Morgana centric episodes! <3
But, I still didn't see anything romantic going on, just a great friendship Oh me too bb! That's the way I saw it too. At least the ship is getting some built up before it's all "Romeo&Juliet" like Gwen/Arthur. ;) I liked how they were simply two souls who had things in common and were forming a bond because of it. :)
