i hope new england as a whole gets deadlocked in a 2 week long blizzard like it used to. maybe not even a blizzard - enough snow to get excited about the winter and christmas. my whole neighborhood looks sick when the pond is iced and snow covered and the tall trees hang heavy creating kind of a snow/wood ceiling over the street

my dad used to call my house and tell my mom to tell me to shovel the driveway, and that if it wasn't done by the time he got home that i was gonna be in trouble (aka, beaten). i, being the intelligent child, knew that if i were to shovel too soon that the snow would pile back up, but if i were to shovel too late he would get home and it wouldn't be done. needless to say, he always mixed up what time he would come home on those days and i would always get beaten, regardless of whether i shoveled or not.

i also remember once pennini went swimming in the iced over bog pond. that wasn't the best part, it got better when he threw a ski for some reason and it smashed shitty jeff directly in the eye.

and i think we were like 16...it may have even been when we were in college, so we can't blame it on being dumb little kids.
