Zacharias wakes up early, even on weekends. His favorite part of his day is when he runs along the lake at sunrise. Most mistake this behavior as his chance to be alone with his thoughts and connect with his inner-self. Pansy had seen Zacharias walking in a solid straight line, but having a personal policy to never step aside for anyone (especially a Hufflepuff), she figured he'd realize where he was going and step off.

Unfortunately for her, he did not, and though she probably could have avoided it, she pretty much watched Smith walk directly into her, and she threw her hands up in disgust.

"Watch where you're going!" The words came across as intended: A barked order. Though, he was sort of cute.

Pansy's eyes drifted to his emblem, the gold making her eyes narrow.

Zacharias blinked at her as he finished biting into his apple.

"Sorry," he said, trickling sarcasm while he chewed.

He shoved his free hand in the front pocket of his jeans and looked down at her. After a moment he recognized her as Pansy Parkinson. He seemed to have a hit or miss opportunity for relationships with Slytherins in that they either appreciate him for his twisted sense of humor and Pureblood status, or hate him for the patch sewn into his robes.

"Pansy, right?" he asked after finally swallowing.

Good. He did know who she was.

Wait.

He knew who she was but still decided to run into her like that?! Honestly?!

She would normally stick out her hand for an introduction, but still in the mindset that Hufflepuffs were dirty she instead just replied, "Yeah, that's me. And you are...?"

Zacharias was always intrigued by Slytherins with an excessive sense of self-worth. He was certainly guilty of having plenty of confidence, but he never purposely put others on a lower level than him.

"Zacharias," he replied with a smile, extending his hand out to her.

He didn't care if she took it or not. She's the one missing out on things by shoving them beneath her.
