Right now, I'm so sore. I've got the day off work, and I'm going to the physio after lunch. It's my ankles that hurt the most. If you're free this arvo, give me a call and we can hang out. A.
I am indeed the man! And, I was only 2.5 hours behind the world record, which is actually pretty freaking amazing on it's own. Not that I'm ever going to beat the record, but you know, I'm only 2.5 hours behind the fastest time ever over 42.195km.
I reckon you could do it if you really wanted to. It would take abut a year of work, but you could do it. Even Ori could do it if he really wanted!
I do appear to have torn a tendon in my left ankle though, so it's not all good news. I am in rather allot of pain today, and cricket is looking unlikely for this weekend, which blows...
I was feeling all proud and happy about finishing the 10km version of the run but you go and blow me away by running 4 times as long at the same pace I did.
Running into the'G' was a special moment. It felt pretty damn amazing. I cannot begin to fathom what sort of feeling Kerryn McCann would have felt running into it with 90,000 screaming people cheering you on at the Commonweath games last year.
Out of all the fun runs I have done in the last 12 months, this was by far the most enjoyable. The course was fantastic and the weather was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a nicer run.
Now I have to go back and rub some more deep heat into my groin. not because I am sore or anything, I just like it.

I'll bet the 10k was a sweet run, it was a very similar run to most of my lunchtime runs, and I really enjoy running around the city.
It's all starting to seem unreal to me now, although the pain in my legs and ankles is telling me that it was indeed real!

(and there was half a minute just shaved off that world record!)

Cheers for the kind words!
That guy who set the new record is a genetic freak I tell you!

I have feeling I was channeling the good vibes of a few folk on the day.
I cannot tell you freaking hard it was!
I did do some damage to the ligaments in my left ankle though, which kinda blows, but the physio tells me I should be right in a week or so.
