We have ARRIVED! I was driving when we first hit Arkville so no border post, but Springdale is only like an hour in anyway. Nancy remains tiny and spunky and surrounded by clutter.

OMG Oklahoma rest stops are even better than Washington ones! Free coffee and tea, plus bathrooms that put the Hilton to shame! On the whole too, it seems like only CA rest stops are disgusting. In NM they were heated on top of being clean!
...i shouldn't be so impressed by this.

Oooooklahoma blahblahblah. We were just passed by someone with a GIANT black hog in the back of their truck, and i apparently slept through passing the World's Largest Cross in Texas. I always miss the good stuff.

So we stopped in Amarillo for burgers ( i mean, it's Texas. Ya gotta.) and if ever passing through, fucking stop at Blue Sky. So good. Also, turns out Texans are actually pretty nice after all; we were pulling out of the parking lot and the dude in the 4x4 behind us starts honking and i, of course, call him a douche and mention that Texas ( Read more... ) -

Well, mom pussied out and wanted to stop instead of sleep in the car, so here we are almost in Texas in this weird town called Tucumcari. I kind of feel like someone was murdered in our Travelodge room, but whatevs, it's cheap.

New Mexico! It was so weird, there was snow in AZ. Only on shaded hills and behind trees, but snow nonetheless. It must have rained here last night and resulted in light snowfall in the night chill.
Pretty sick of the car, but we're gonna stop somewhere for dinner instead of fast food.
