Seriously, the first thing I hear from half the people who find out I'm going to Yale is "Oh my God, you need to watch Gilmore Girls!" So I gave it a shot, and it seemed pretty good. I guess you're not that weird. :-P
The first thing I said when I heard you were going to Yale was "Jesus Christ!". Are you going to be the valedictorian? or do people from here just not apply to Yale?
I'm valedictorian, but it's definitely true that people around here rarely apply for any schools out east... actually, fewer do from the midwest than any other region of the country. It wouldn't be so unheard of if we lived anywhere else.
Those are the exact things I thought of for that show. I thought I might've been the only one to notice the way they talked. Plus the random musical allusions.
Yeah I should be there tomorrow. Bring your money.

Out of curiosity, what about Yale enticed you to apply there? The poli-sci program or the fact that it's just one of the best schools around?

Me: "hey! long time-- what are you up to?"
Dad: "I'm watching Gilmore Girls"
Me: "..."
Dad: (oblivious)"what are you up to?"
Me: "Dad, what happened to Aliens and Evil Dead?"
It was strange. My dad is the BIGGEST horror and science fiction person ever. But he likes gilmore girls apparantly.
