The Revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd closes tonight on Broadway.

Im glad i was able to see it-- the cast is the best ive ever seen (and the absolute nicest)

micheal, patti, mano and everyone... thanks for the amazing run! can't wait to see what comes next!

You know they're making it into a movie. Tim Burton's directing with Johnny Depp as one of the dudes (I've never seen it so that's as specific as I can get).

PS: I saw Rent for the first time last night and loved it =)

yea. not sure how good the film will turn out, but im hoping for the best! Depp is playing Sweeney Todd, and he got stephen sondheim's approval (who's kinda my favortie person EVER/writer of the show)... so its looking good!

and im glad you got to see Rent and loved it! im watching it soon for the 3rd time :) tons better than the movie right?

Haha yeah, but come on, Johnny Depp. He's crazy. It shoudl work.

And I meant I finally saw the movie last night. I'd never seen it! I've still never seen the actual show. But I really liked the movie (but then again, I can't compare it to anything).

I was upset that Patti didn't win the Tony. But when they took it away from Manoel, I had to throw something at the screen.

i totally agree! Have you seen the show? did you notice that Mano moves his lips to some of the other character's lines when he's to the side of a scene? almost as if he was telling the whole story(which is always how i've understood the show)... Manoel really deserved that Tony for all he put into the role

yeah-- he was so sweet at the stage door... he's in love with the show as much as any of us

in case you would want one: he made what he calls "toby t's" and he sold them through his myspace. I missed the deadline but he might have extras soon. Its a tshirt with toby and underneath it says "smoothly." I want one :)

you definately should be.

cali is nice. the weather's great, and the wworkload is becoming more reasonable. but yea, for the most part i'm enjoying myself.
