well, if i am not mistaken, i believe he is refereing to the magazine "Highlights" [where little kids highlight in the book ie; color, find pictures] that is usually found in a pediatricians waiting room. so in conclusion, he is using the word "highlights" in both ways.. Hair highlights and magazine highlights. ahhhhhh yes.
