Love that she went to Chuck. :) And he was a bit pissy with her in the beginning. Woah. But I like it. And he was with a girl (whom he kicked out for her!)

CN. I'm sure Chuck wanted to, but I think he's loyal to Nate more. Seriously, first thing he said when B came to Victrola was "Where's Nate?" and I truly believe he said those words to her at the restuarant bar in 1x13 because he wanted Nate back more. Which, of course, why I don't understand Nate this season. But not the point. I am glad he held strong in not telling her.

And he invited her up after all! LOVE IT!

Blair's down. No one loves her. His plan? SOCIAL DESTRUCTION! HOT HOT HOT! Love the reasons why they are and what they can say against them. WIN WIN WIN!

APPETITE! LMAO. Food and drinks. Silly, Blair. What did you think he meant? ;)

LOVE this!

If you think about it, she really did have no one. Her minions aren't real friends, she separates them from her true self. So I had her go to Chuck on a whim. And he was rather fresh wasn't he? :P He was definitely caught off guard, and even though we know they are good friends, they never really "talk", especially now that they are older. But of course, he can't stand to see her like she was and hurt her even more, even if it pisses him off to see her so weak ( ... )

I have to admit that I have been checking back everyday since part 1 and this was totally worth it.

I liked that she went to Chuck and he was annoyed but then kicked out his "date" for Blair. The sexual tension was already simmering under the surface.

I hope that you continue to write. I think maybe writing about little interactions that aren't on the show would be awesome. I can't wait to read more.

I agree with the other commenter that Chuck's loyalty to Nate is much greater then his loyalty to Blair. This is odd since Nate has been largely MIA during Chuck's recent downward spiral. Except for the funeral episode he and chuck haven't been in a scene together in the last two episode. Obviously Chuck Bass is a better friend then Nate Archibald.

I'm glad it was worth it! And sorry it took me so long to update. I try to be punctual but the muse is fickle.

I'm glad you picked up on the sexual tension. I only directly alluded to it twice but I was really envisioning it being there the entire time. And I liked writing mad, pissy Chuck. I thought it was fitting and then he warmed up to her, but he still couldn't give her what she wanted so he made up for it ;)

And yeah I wish CN weren't basically dead. I loved them in the beginning of the season when Nate was just rolling his eyes at Chuck's schemes and obsession with Blair. It was like he was so amused and it made my day. Where did that go?

I'm definitely continuing with the story. I'm thinking of doing about two or three chapters for 11th grade, but I don't want to make them like missing scenes, so I have to work on how I want to approach it. I also want to do 12th grade too, but that means that it won't be able to entirely be finished until the season ends so I have no clue where to end it.

ngl, i did a little happy dance when i saw you had the next part up.
and it delivered.
blair/chuck plotting is the best kind. (besides romantic blair/chuck of course)
i like how you made him kind of stiff at the beginning towards blair, seems more realistic.
can't wait for the next part :)

thank you thank you thank you! I'm glad you liked it and thought his coldness was realistic. I really liked writing that dynamic because I hadn't done it before. Romantic CB is in the future! :D Finally!

Okay, so I hesitated and wasn't sure I should leave a comment (a lot of people don't like anonymous comments but since I don't have a LiveJournal I thought I'd go ahead and post). I came across this fic by accident and am currently hooked - checking everyday for updates ;) You are a phenomenal writer (wish I was as good) and you capture CB BEAUTIFULLY! The writers could learn from you! I love every single detail about the CB relationship and how sometimes it ties in to the show. C does seem like a better friend nowadays compared to N - but from the next episode description I assume we will have CN interaction again. I don't know how the writers will pull of the CB relationship...I guess people like them dramatic (me included) partly because that's what they're about and partly because I for one can't imagine them in a steady relationship - and the writers capturing it the right way. I just really hope they don't screw it up. As for the next parts - I think it would be interesting if they once again tied in to the show, if you made it ( ... )

Hi, so I don't know if you'll get this response since you posted as anonymous, but just in case you check back here I wanted to thank you profusely for your review and for leaving a comment. It means a lot to me to get new reviewers, because the truth is you never know who is out there reading, and it's not necessary, it means a lot to get reviews. Thanks and keep reading!

NEW CHAPTER!! *squeals* :D

I'm really really pleased with this chapter! I love how Blair came to Chuck for help :) She would probably deny it, but apart from Serena he's her only real friend. He understands her and doesn't judge her, which is probably Blair came to him in the first place.
On the other hand I bet Chuck also considers him her friend but I guess with him it's bros before hos! He can't balance his friendship with Nate and his growing feelings for Blair, so it makes total sense his reactions!

Oh Blair and you criticize Chuck for having a dirty mind ;)

I'm glad you liked this chapter and understood the push and pull balance of their friendship and how complicated it really is.
