See, even if BrOTP wasn't the initial idea of the writers, it still goes to show that Barney knows Robin way better than Ted! Ted seems to have that habit of falling insanely in love without really getting to know the girl first (ex. Stella and not knowing she had nut allergies)

This kind of stuff clearly shows how Barney and Robin are perfect together, because he notices the little stuff that actually matter to her. (Even though smoking is bad, haha)

I love that the 'correct answer' was awkward silence. because she totally could score a hotter guy: BARNEY!

No I am SO with you. Things like this in season 2 and 3 just scream BrOTP to me! Even when Barney is doing his one man play and he's a robot with no feelings and later says "spoiler alert! the robot falls in love!" My BR antennae just go up and start freaking out. I can't help but think Carter and Craig plan pretty far ahead and definitely started giving little clues on purpose by late season 2. So this scene is totally intentional to me ;)
