Can anyone recommend a novel where the story alternates POV between 2 major characters? I'm looking for a good example where the story shifts emphasis between two characters, yet maintains momentum and doesn't break the storyline...

Not two characters specifically (that is, only two), no. But more than one character, yes, George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series alternates each chapter between different characters.

Ah, yes... Thanks so much for the suggestion! I read that series a long time ago. I think I should like to read it again.

"In Revolution" by Mark Z. Daniel-I-forget-the-last-part-of-his-name-because-it-becomes-all-crazy-and-Polish. But he's the guy who wrote "House of Leaves" and his sister is the singer Poe.

Mark Danielewski, right? :) I read House of Leaves, but I haven't read the other one. Thanks for the recommendation. I asked because I'm writing a novel that alternates between 2 characters. :)

Vinge's A Fire Upon The Deep alternates between two plotlines with a common background that intertwine at the end.

I've never read it. I'll definitely look into it, thanks. :)

As for Dracula... Wow, I hated that book. Perhaps because my professor took all the joy out of it.
