I'm quite happy with the election results. Despite voting Tory as a protest vote, I'm pleased they didn't get in nationally - their stance on the human rights act and the refugee convention is just too scary for me

I feel much the same. I'd hoped Labour would get back in, but with a reduced majority, and I think I'm right in saying it's about halved.
The constituency where I actually voted (Putney) swung from Labour to Tories this time round, but it was pretty narrow, and the Tory woman looks like one tough cookie so I suspect that no-one really dared stand against her... ;)
Yeah - that was early enough to cause Peter Snow to go into a bit of a tizz-woz!
The Tory woman looked quite nice and sensible. But I admit I know nothing about her policies :P I wonder how much you can tell about a person's politics from how they look...? (with the obvious exception of the Monster Raving Looney Party...:P)
