Luke’s mouth wobbles slightly, and Reid can tell he’s hurt, but he tries to smile anyway, and nods his assent, then slaps his hands against his thighs and stands up, muttering something about needing the bathroom.

Aww, I felt bad for Luke here but I understand why Reid didn't want to share.

Ack! Luke doesn't have many pills left, so I hope they're found soon.

Great chapter! This is such an emotionally rich fic. And the suspense is very well done - will they be rescued on time? will Luke fall for Reid? will Reid trust Luke with the story of his painful recovery?

Another amazing chapter! I love the layers of stories--the story of what happened with them in Oakdale is just as interesting and surprising as what is happening on the island. The scene where Reid doesn't want to share the details of their proposal with this Luke was heartbreaking but so real and understandable. Their first Thanksgiving was incredibly moving and makes Reid's loss of his Luke that much more gut wrenching.
