As if you all care...
I got next to no sleep last night and I don't feel good. I still can't really think straight, so I'm not sure how coherrent I am. Expect a list that would make your English teacher cringe.
WARPED '05
(Yes, there are pictures at the end)
-> Ashley stayed over Tuesday night.
-> I don't know why David puts up with me. I really don't.
-> I kept waking up with my leg all cramped because I was trying not to kick Ashley.
-> Morning. Showers. Headache. Lack of ibuprofin and/or aspirin. Fuck.
-> Cassie came over.
-> I think I have a mental block against being happy.
-> Justin was late.
-> Cass and I spent over an hour braiding Ashley's hair.
-> Cass braided my hair.
-> Justin and his mom picked us up.
-> We forgot our water bottles and sunscreen.
-> I live about 20, 25 minutes away from Nissan Pavillion, and we spent an hour and a half getting there. Traffic was ridiculous. Wellington is one lane either way to begin with, and then they shut one lane. We were so mad.
-> Almost got out and walked, but then didn't.
-> While were were still on the two-lane part, this SUV pulls up next to us. It had been painted COMPLETELY CHECKERED. It was the hottest car I've ever seen in my life. We rolled down the window and Cass goes "Dude, your car is really awesome!" They laughed at us. Fuck that.
-> Later there was a car in front of us with a chick driving and a guy in the passenger seat. The guy gets out and goes behind the hill, presumably to take a piss. When he came back we'd started moving. He ran up, jumped on the trunk of the car, and fell in the sunroof. We honked and started clapping, and he just laid there with his feet sticking out the roof. So great.
-> We missed Mae, The Starting Line, Hawthorne Heights, and others. Argh.
-> David called me when TSL played "Best Of Me" (our song), but I couldn't really understand it. It was sweet of him, though.
-> Finally got there! Yay!
-> Met up with David and Patrick.
-> Half of Millencolin's set.
-> Thrice was amazing. They were my favorite band last year, and now I remember why.
-> Tried to figure out where the fuck Taylor, Matt, and Becca were. Didn't.
-> Stupid beverage stand was sold out of water. We bought soda, drank it, and filled the bottles up at the fountain.
-> I skanked with Cass to Big D and the Kids Table. Ska kids need love too!
-> Felt really dizzy after aforementioned skanking. Sat down.
-> Cass attempted to teach Michelle to skank and failed miserably. Haha.
-> Justin and I bought shirts from the Motion City Soundtrack booth.
-> Go Betty Go had their tent right next to MCS's. The [really hot] guy sitting in it was all lonely. I talked to him, bought the EP, and gave him a hug. Yay!
-> Justin, Cass, Michelle, and I headed over to the main stages for My Chemical Romance. Justin and I stayed for "To The End", then went back to the pavillion because I really needed to sit down.
-> We missed Over It. Goddammit.
-> Met David, Ashley, and Patrick in the pavillion.
-> Some random band.
-> Taylor and Matt found us and gave me hugs. They left again to go see Atreyu.
-> Go Betty Go. David said they were all lesbians. Twenty minutes later I was like "No, I think the guitarist is a lesbian, the lead singer is bi, and the bassist is straight". "You've been thinking about that this whole time, haven't you?" "...no" "Why don't you just make the drummer trans, huh? Then you can have ALL the bases covered." "I can't see the drummer!" Heh.
-> We saw Steve Hall and yelled his name, but he didn't hear us. Or answer his cell phone.
-> MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK! They were fucking awesome. I was screaming all the lyrics and David kept giving me weird looks. Like I care. I fucking love them. I wish I'd gone up in the pit with Justin, but oh well. "The Future Freaks Me Out" was so wild. Man.
-> Me, Cass, and Michelle left during the last song (which was one of the ones from the new cd that I don't know as well, so I didn't care as much) to go stake out spots at their booth. They came over after they finished their set. <.fangirl-ness.>AHHH I MET MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK!!<./fangirl-ness.> I got my shirt and magazine signed by all of them. Michelle took a picture of me with Justin Pierre. I took a picture of Tony Thaxton and Matt Taylor (Josh McCain was selling something to some girl). Michelle took another picture of me and Cass with Jesse Johnson. It was so rad.
-> Water break.
-> Justin went back to get his flip-flop signed by MCS.
-> I went back to the Go Betty Go tent and talked to that hot guy again--at that point he had a sign that said "I need a hug!" I gave him two more hugs and Justin took a really bad picture. Haha.
-> We missed My American Heart. Goddammit again.
-> Everyone (and by that I mean me, Justin, Cassie, Michelle, Ashley, David, and Patrick) met back up.
-> Met the [really hot] guy from this Canadian band Kiros. He talked to us and let us listen to their cd. I bought it. We took a picture and it turned out really well. Woo.
-> James called and said he was there. I never got to see him.
-> Wandered around the merch tents for awhile.
-> We talked to the guys at the Fueled By Ramen booth for awhile. One of them is in the AKA's, although I didn't realize it at the time and I still can't remember his name. The other guy told us that if I held up a ten dollar bill, he'd sing a Punchline song. It was great. Then he was like "I can sing another one!" Me: "I could tell you my favorite Punchline song". So he sang part of "Getting There Is Getting By", complete with fake drumming. Man, it was funny. I ended up buying the AKAs' cd for $5. I also got Punchline and Days Away cds, plus another copy of Days Away for Michelle. The three of those together were $20. Not bad, not bad.
-> We went next door to the SideOneDummy booth and I bought the Nural cd.
-> Went over to the Interpunk booth. The girl working there told us that we could win a free shirt by dancing and letting her and the other four guys there judge us. They would each give either 0 or 10 points. You had to get 40 out of 50 to win a shirt. Cass and I skanked and got 30/50 because two of the guys don't like ska. Fuckfaces. Then the chick told us that if David put on his straightjacket and let us beat the hell out of him we'd get shirts. He put on the jacket and we shoved him around. He fell and Cassie and Justin started kicking him. David, Cass, and I all got free shirts. Yippee.
-> Becca ran up and tackled me and it made me happy.
-> Cassie bought a Warped t-shirt.
-> Went to the MySpace booth where the AKAs were signing stuff. I got my cd jacket and a poster signed. They were really cool and the one guy (god, it's really bugging me that I can't remember his name) remembered me from earlier. It's not like it had been that long before, but oh well. High-fives and stuff.
-> Story of the Year. I think I liked their performance better last year, but whatever. Ashley, David, and Patrick went up front. Justin, Cass, Michelle and I sat down in the back. Justin and I were kind of dizzy.
-> The Transplants. [unless I'm mixing up the order and it was Avenged Sevenfold right here. I know we were there for both of their sets.]
-> I forget.
-> Joey called and said he was leaving. I didn't even get to see him.

-> FALL OUT BOY! We were right at the front of the soundbooth, which was fairly close. The crowd was fucking crazy. I was screaming and dancing the entire time. Ashley and Michelle crowd-surfed. Ash went all the way, but Michelle didn't go very far and fought her way back to us. I wanted to go, but I also didn't want to end up by myself, because there was no way in hell I'd be able to get back to our spot. It was cool, though. They played "i slept with someone in fall out boy and all i got was this stupid song written about me", and that made me happy because it's one of my favorite songs by them. The whole set was just incredible.
-> The Offspring was next. I love them but I felt like I was gonna pass out. David, Ashley, Patrick, Justin, and I sat down in back. David let me lay on him and was all concerned and stuff. It was cute. Justin brought back water and David sat there holding the cold bottle on my head and neck. Awww.
-> Cass and Michelle came back from the pit.
-> Some other band came on. I have no idea who it was. I was pretty out of it.
-> Went back to the pavillion. Some random band was on.
-> I donated my last $20 so that we could get two pizzas. Ashley, David, and I split one. Cass and Michelle (and Patrick?) split the other one. I took two bites and couldn't eat any more. I know I needed to eat but that shit was gross. I would've gotten sick. Blech.
-> Justin left after awhile. I love that kid.
-> Cass and Michelle went to walk around. They might've gone to see part of Dropkick Murphies, but I don't know.
-> I like Flogging Molly (who I saw last year) better so I don't really care.
-> Ashley and Patrick left to walk around. David said they just wanted to give us some alone time, which was very cool of them.
-> "Alone-time" heh heh. I was feeling better by this point.
-> The Briefs! Yay!
-> Everyone came back. Then left.
-> I hate saying goodbye to David. =[
-> It was really hard for me, Cass, and Ashley to find my stupid parents in the stupid parking lot. But we finally did.
-> As soon as we got in the car I felt like someone had clamped my head in a metal vise. Holy shit, it hurt so fucking bad. Plus I was still dehydrated. And REALLY sunburned. Blech.
-> Only took 45 minutes to get home because we went the other way.
-> Dropped Cass and Ashley off.
-> All I could do when I got home was take off my clothes and crawl into bed. That was seriously it.
And then I got to get up at five and go to work. Yippee! *eyeroll*
