So I've done lots of yarn shopping this past week. Towards the end of last week all the "craft stores" around here had their yarn blowout sales. 30% off here, half off there, and even some as low as a buck! So I went nutso and stocked up. the main stitch pattern is called "woven transverse herringbone" (sounds very serious!) and yeah it's kind of like Vs.

it's really quite easy!

Knitting Help and About Knitting are the two sites i learned from. once you learn the knit and purl stitches you can do most anything. that's all most patterns are made up of.
