Contrary to popular belief, in-school Auror training was surprisingly hazardous. Andy was doing what he found himself doing rather often these days. Practicing his spells in a closed classroom. Piper was trying to study (all right, she was reading her new Cognitive Psychology book) and all she kept hearing was loud noises from what sounded like next door.

In actuality, it was more like down the hall. She followed the sound and pushed the door open. "What did these desks ever do to you anyway?"

"They made my spells not work right," Andy muttered, turning to the newcomer.

"Was it really loud enough to draw observers? I thought I muffled the room."

"I'm sure it's all the desks' fault," she smirked and leaned her shoulder against the inside of the wall just inside the doorway.

"You probably did, but that only works when you actually close a door all the way. It was cracked."

"It completely was. This wouldn't happen if I had a human target to practice on. Humans don't explode."

Glancing at the door and the girl standing by it, Andy sighed and said, "Well, either come all the way in, or go back out, cause I need to practice and I don't wanna disturb anymore people."
