Did you know that the Irish speak... Irish?

Well, I never knew till I got here. Dubliners speak English well enough and all signboards include English, but it irritates me when I see other alphabetical words on the same signboard that I can't understand. So much for this being the summer holidays aka. freedom to do anything with my time. Work allows for no such thing. Thankfully, CommunicAsia - the event we've been preparing for the past couple of months - ended on Friday! Hoorah.

It's my first day at work today and I've quite enjoyed it. The office is located at The Central - a mall catered to Japanese clientele - which accounts for the number of Japanese restaurants and snack shops in there. I foresee myself spending a large portion of my meagre intern's pay on overpriced Japanese items!

Life's been good since landing on Thursday afternoon.

I had dinner with Sabrina on the first night back, lunch with Jien, Willis and Weiyan the next day, and caught the Finnish National Ballet's interpretation of Anna Karenina followed by supper at Max Brenner's this evening.
