That was very powerful, and, yes, chilling is exactly the right word. And terrifyingly plausible, esp. for Ianto.

Brilliant story! The last paragraph was especially moving and terrifying.
It deserves a sequel (or a prequel maybe?) ^^

Perhaps! I tried to make the echoes of the Holocaust and the Cold War apparent in the story, so if I write a prequel, I'll have to brush up on my history.

I'm glad you liked it!

Oh, wow. So Torchwood is like the Centre (from "The Pretender"). Now why doesn't that surprise me? Project Newborn sounds an awful lot like Project Gemini or even the Pretender Project.

This story was thoroughly chilling and incredible. Really good job.

Pretender... That was a show, right? I vaguely remember it, but I think there was a cute guy as the leading man years ago. This makes me sound old even though I'm not. Heh. Do tell more about the Pretender Project!

And I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you! I'm glad you thought it was episodic because I've never written a one-shot geared in the style of the show before. This would be a short show. Pre-watershed.
