However, while mom was going to get me a tattoo, we're having trouble finding a place to do it while I'm 17...which is dumb, cause it's legal. I've been studying it for like a week. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!!

Actually, in Iowa (at least not sure of other states) you have to be 18 and parents can't vouch for you. At least that was the law according to a recent newspaper article on it. I don't remember if it was just for Iowa or if it was for other states as well. The article did mention that there are some home done shops, but I wouldn't recommend that.

When you find a shop where you can get it done (nevermind the age thing), make sure they have a portfolio of examples to show you of their past work. Also make sure it's clean, etc. Least this was the advice friends gave me when I was shopping around.
