I want to see brokeback but here's the thing:

I hate movies that end sadly. Am I going to be a bawling mess when it ends? as a guideline: I'm okay with movies like 28 days later or anything where the couple gets to stay together, or just be peacefully apart. I'm NOT okay with the remake of dawn of the dead or anything where one part of the couple dies, or one person ends up totally fucked, etc. I tend to avoid romance movies as a rule because they make me weep, but I'm willing to sorta make an exception for this as it is queer and ang lee. but still. not sure if I can deal. do I sound way too emotionally sensitive to live?

i'm fairly positive it will end sadly. most of the reviews include the word "heartbreaking" in a prominent place. i am sure to be bawling at the end! but, to reference that picture above, i bawled at titanic, too. in fact, i bawl at everything!

to sum up: you are totally not too emotionally sensitive to live (i hope). it could totally be not doable for you. if you do decide to come, you won't be the only one weeping!

p.s. if anyone has read the book or something, feel free to chime in here, in a non-specific yet clueing-in kinda way.
