My step-dad punched my grandpa on Easter. Like, they went outside and had a fight on the front lawn. Now, my grandpa was being an amazing jerk, but still! And the part that made the whole thing surreal was that no one seemed to care or think this was strange at all

I wish the video of my aunt and cousin on the Tyra Show was still on Youtube so I could try to cheer you up by showing you that my family is just as crazy. My aunt did everything possible to make her 15-year-old daughter look bad, including announce that she was no longer a virgin. Then she told all her friends and family to watch it.

I hope that your family gets less crazy, but if not, I hope you can avoid the craziness as much as possible. That's one thing I love about not living in Seattle.

I don't know how your family is all situated - who is related to who - but, two guys going out and punching a couple rounds isn't uncommon. Especially, was more common with the older generations.

My grandpa started the fight. And unfortunately, this was not bonding. He will probably not be invited over anymore, and I may not see him again.

Even though he makes things so difficult for us, this still makes me sad. When he's not angry or trying to intimidate us he is actually nice to talk to. But I'm not even sure that he likes seeing us (hence his lack of effort to be nice), so maybe he doesn't care.
