To amplify (I have been to a lot of shows at El Corazon): As soon as enough people get in there, it turns into an oven, and "enough people" means fifteen or so, not a crowd.
I've only been to three shows that sounded even vaguely okay there. In two of those cases the band had brought their own sound gear including PAs. In the third, they'd obviously booted the venue's sound guy and spent a lot of time trying to get shit right, and even then it only sounded okay, not good.
I've been to shows in the men's room at my old high school, and that was a better experience than El Corazon.
Well, if you decide to go, I and a couple of friends are planning on going. And seeing Peter Murphy at El Corazon is better than NOT seeing Peter Murphy.

Last time he was here I saw him there. The venue does not impress me.

I'm in. My enthusiasm is overwhelming, I know. I'll spread the word and see if any of my peeps want to go as well.
