Driving home from work last night, I was behind a car that had one of those "Caution- car will be un-maned when the Rapture comes" or some such BS ( Read more... )

The Rapture is just another way of describing an escape from reality or a massive overhaul that somehow makes things better. So many people believe something like that will happen to help them escape from their problems somehow.

In short, because such a thing doesn't and cannot exist, it's feeling would be entirely fictional and whatever you want it to be.

I have no idea since I'll be going to hell in a handbasket.

I know this because of my leranings. I am well-versed in Fundie having grown up in Texas, having married into a Pentecostal preaching family and having a short stint as a JW.

I always figured it would come and go and I wouldn't really notice, at least if it is the christian interpretation of Jesus coming down and taking away the Christians. I just figured one day I would wake up and a few people I have never met would just be gone and I would be like "oh well", didn't like them anyway.
