A friend of mine back in CO just posted a link to all the old photos from gothicplanet.com- which was a great site that had a real impact on the Denver goth scene. Many friendships were made on that site. It makes me realize that I really should have been more open and put myself out there more. I got incredibly nostalgic surfing through all of those. I remember thinking at first "such an easier, happier time" and then realizing I didn't feel that way then at all.

We must appreciate all that we have, all the wonderful people especially. I miss all of our events and gatherings and I miss a lot of people.

It was an unique community situation though, one that will never happen again. So many people came out of the woodwork to socialize. And just as quickly, split apart. I don't think I've ever met as many people in my life as during those few years. It seems surreal when I look back on it.

Yes, I completely agree. It would probably be close to impossible to create a dynamic like that again... at least with the same people. It seems almost, yeah, completely surreal, a moment that can almost barely be believed. I made so many friends and met so many great people during that time though, it is something that will stay with all of us.
