Ah, very belated birthday wishes, dear Anzu- I shipped off a surprise package to you right on time, but forgot to update in this journal. I have a little trouble connecting here. Cairo has very fast Internet thingamajigs but it was not all connected and working very well until this morning. I do hope you had a very nice birthday at the day itself, ( Read more... )

*rolls eyes* I think I understand where you're coming from, government work is a hassle. At least you're tormented by them for being 'unpatriotic'. *sighs*

Hope you're not being overcharged for any repair work. If not for the distance I would have helped out if you asked, I don't have that much work just now anyway.

Oh, also, need to give a warning. You may get Raphael appearing out of the blue sometime soon. he called me long distance, (on a very bad connection)to say he's trekking into Egypt from Ethiopia, so best to hide as quick as possible *smirk*

I am very much used to deal with government hassle, even though I used to have my trusty Priests for that in the past... *relaxed laugh* it is a good thing I still know how to deal with bureaucratic people on my own.

I hope you can keep yourself occupied? Being busy is better than staying at home and feel bad for not having things to do.

Ah, thank you for the heads-up, Amelda. I will be barricading my windows and doors extra attentive if I spot him, though he would be hard to miss as well.

Very fortunate, but at least you don't have them trying to track you down where ever you go. I've been criticised for moving to another country, being disloyal to my heritage. *rolls eyes* Safe to say, Egyptian government are probably much better.

*smiles slightly* Don't worry I will, there's plenty of odd jobs I have to do, plus I can always go and visit the gravesite, that'll take my mind off the boredom.

No problem, he should reach the boarders in few days or so, take another day or so to reach the city area's he said, so run for your life while you can!! And I know, Raphael is bound to stick out. He's not terribly subtle when it comes to appearance, so he's not one to blend in well.

Be warned in case he comes with more 'gifts' for you. *grins*

Sometimes the past blends too much with the present, and it is strange to see what your homeland can do with you, cand do to you. I feel at home here, welcome and free for some reason. I remember enough of my ruling how to deal with governmental instances and bureaucratic people, even though it is still a hassle- one can spend his time always better than waiting in line for the next of the 45354325th stamp.

That is good to hear. Staying busy is good for oneself.. though one should always reserve some quality time for himself as well.

Ah, I see. Cairo is very large, so I can probably pretend that he will not find out where I live which gives me some time to vacate the area, yes that soon. I doubt that a tall guy like him with his.. ah, taste in clothing would blend in well anywhere.

*smiles anyway* Thank you again for the warning, Amelda. In any case, it will give me the chance to thank him in person for the gift of Miw-sher.

Thank you so much for remembering me Atemu-kun! And you do know that you didn't need to bother yourself with finding me a present right? It got it two days ago and wished to call you but I think I misplaced your phone number *sheepishly*

Are you both settling in alright?

I would be ashamed of myself if I had not remembered the birthday of someone so close to me, Anzu. Of course I knew, but I choose to ignore that particular part as well. Ah, it could also be that we are not really connected here, yet- the bureaucratic course of things is sometimes difficult to get through, and we did have some troubles with the telephone lines here as of late.

I am doing fine, it takes a little while longer for my husband to catch up with the new surroundings, Anzu.

I know you would never forget *smiles* Then the next time you say that I don't need to bother I shall remind you of this particular conversation. Deal? Alright...then I should really try your cellphone. I hate being unable to talk to you guys.

He'll get used to it quickly. Yuugi-kun is strong and getting settled in such a beautiful place shouldn't be too hard.

*returns the smile* All right, deal. You are a tough negotiator, Anzu. I should have you as one of my Priests at my Court. *nods* It is always on, and do not mind the time difference. You can call anytime you want.

I am sure of it, Anzu. At the moment it is hard to deal with the notion that family and friends are far away, and not around the corner as they used to be.
