the new libertines record has grown on me a lot- it's still not 'up the bracket' but nothing ever will be. i love 'arbeit macht frei' and how it reminds me of 'mayday' and the fact that they still don't give a fuck what the mainstream think; i love the fuzzy warm guitars in 'last post on the bugle'; i love 'narcissist' and the way it reminds me of

I think old Sir. Clash ruined it by proclaiming it to be the best album made ever. It's still great, but as I believe almost everything that I read on such things, it's spoiled it for me a little.

yeah, i'd got my hopes up as well- especially about 'the man who would be king', that could have been amazing.

i love the new album, probably about as much as UTB, but in an entirely different way. UTB is a fantastic record, and this one is a...beautiful record. In my humble opinion anyway!
