This is one of the finest speeches I've seen. Its scope is much farther reaching than any of the campaigning this year has ever been and is so much more in tune with what an "American Identity" actually is. Its import is greater than any of the sound bites and the regular campaign tactics that

The British media is enthralled with Obama. Granted I do read the more leftwing papers, but the key to their argument -- though I'm sure an underlying distaste for the current administration and neocon policy does play a part -- is the prospect of hope. Even more than Bill Clinton, Obama inspires through his words and gives his audience a picture of what could be.
