You should definetly take a trip, monotony = death. Besides, if you're smart about it travel within the US is fairly affordable. You just got your tax refund, and if you put a bit of money aside from each paycheck it's not problem. I just Orbitz'd it and its quoting $273 from LA to NY and back for April 27th and returning on May 4th.
