Material lust looks unpleasant to a poor person, an environmentalist or an anti-capitalist; but adopting and caring for forgotten ephemera in the gigantic mound of throwaway shit that we made as our human world, seems natural, almost, like the only thing a pattern-seeking hairless ape can do in the face of this plastic surge.

It's like a crow hording bizarre items that strike its fancy and weaving them into its nest. I think the fascination with "stuff" probably is pretty natural, ahaha.
