Happened this afternoon, Karl and Billy are on their mini vacation
Karl: *I fiddle with the radio as we drive trying to find something that sounds half human, but give up and switch it off* Haven't you heard of good music up here? *I grumble playfully*
Billy: *I laugh* No, not that far up, but I can sing for you if you want to *I grin*
Karl: Umm, no it's fine. *I murmur* We aren't too far away anyway..
Billy: So are you telling me where we are going then? *I smile at you*
Karl: You should be able to guess seeing as we are pretty much there... *I'm slightly distracted as I check the directions while trying to keep one eye on the road. I put the paper down as I turn into a narrow road* Like, we're here. *I smile*
Billy: Uhm, to be honest I did not pay any attention so right now we could be anywhere in wilderness and on a narrow road. Maybe you are just kidnapping me and going to hide me in some lonely cabin in the mountains. *I say, looking around*
Karl: Yep. That's exactly what I plan to do. *I grin as I drive up a rather steep track
looking for the right cabin number* This must be ours then. *I say brightly as I pull up next to it, looking forward to getting out of the damn car after that long a drive*
Billy: *I stare at the cabin* See, there is the cabin *I say before getting out of the car. When I am out I walk over to you and hug you* It is beautiful *I kiss you* I don't think I`d mind being kept in there.
Karl: Well, I promise you it's just for two days and no more. *I smile, wrapping my arms around you. I look around at the mountains surrounding us* Pretty. *I comment, then shiver a little* And cold.
Billy: *I laugh a little* Wimp, let’s get in then *I grin at you*
Karl: *I pull the key out of my pocket and take the few steps to the door, unlocking it and pushing it open. I can feel the warmth from inside already and hurry in, checking the place out* Wow, classic log cabin stereotyping. *I chuckle, taking in the huge as yet unlit log fire and the wooden beams everywhere*
Billy: *I follow you, also enjoying the warmth* It is beautiful in here. *I wrap myself around you again* So what did I do to deserve this?
Karl: Hmm.. *I smile at you* Nothing special. Just by being yourself. *I kiss you softly*
Billy: I love you *I kiss you back, before I pull back* What about trying to get this fire going?
Karl: We can have a good try. *I eye it warily before approaching it. It seems all ready to go. I kneel in front of it and take one of the tapers and the matches. After a few attempts the kindling seems to catch and I get back up* Will take a few minutes to get going properly. We should check out the other rooms. *I suggest*
Billy: Let`s check out the kitchen first before we go to the more fun rooms *I grin*
Karl: Okay. *I flash you a smile as I take your hand and leave the living room and locate the kitchen. It's pretty small and compact but has everything you'd need* Cosy.. *I murmur*
Billy: Cozy indeed *I grin and drag you to the bathroom. It is big but cozy and has a large tub. The bathroom has dark colours and looks really warm and comfortable.* We should try that tub at some point
Karl: I'm sure we'll get the chance. *I chuckle, as I check out the bedroom* We should go see how that fires doing.
Billy: I hope it is going as it is bloody cold up here. *I walk into the lounge with you, pleased to see that the fire is actually working.*
Karl: *I laugh at you as we enter the lounge* And you just called me a wimp? *I snort*
Billy: That I did. *I grin* Never said that I ain’t one. Scotland is cold and I am not ashamed of admitting it.
Karl: Well, it's warm enough in here, and we don't have to go out if we don't want to.. *I point out, taking a seat on the floor in front of the fire*
Billy: *I sit down in your lap and lean against you* It is beautiful up here, all I want to know now is why we got here.
Karl: *I wrap my arms around you and rest my chin on your shoulder* We deserve a break. *I murmur* After your accident and me working all hours... I thought we could do
with getting away for a while...
Billy: And I love you for having that idea cause it was a really good one. *I tilt my head and kiss your forehead* So what are we going to do now?
Karl: Well.. *I muse* We could just chill for a bit.. or go out and check the place out. We need to get some groceries anyway. We'd appreciate the fire a whole lot more after a nice brisk walk outside.. *I chuckle*
Billy: I am sure we would, and getting food always sounds good. *I stand up and hold out a hand for you*
Karl: *I take your hand and let you help me up* I could do with a bit of a stretch after that car journey anyway. *I murmur, arching my back slightly* And we'd better dig out some warmer clothes before we go anywhere.
Billy: Our luggage is still in the car so we will have to make it to the car at least without freezing. *I make my way to the front door with you following closely*
Karl: Then maybe we better bring the luggage in before we go anywhere. *I sigh, braving the chill wind as we step outside*
Billy: *I unlock the car and get out a jacket. I then open the boot and step back, smiling at you* Can you take the rest?
Karl: *I throw you a look* No. I can't. Now get your lazy hobbit ass and take some of this stuff in! *I growl*
Billy: Yes Sir *I grin and take some of the luggage, carrying it inside* Just let an old man do all the work *I mumble on my way back to the cabin*
Karl: Aww, poor baby. *I grin as I follow you back inside with the rest of it* I guess we can just leave it here for now and sort it out later. Just need to grab our jackets..
Billy: *I grab my jacket and throw you yours before I walk over to you. When you are done getting in your jacket I give you a quick kiss before we head outside again*
Karl: *The chill isn't as biting now when we step outside* Okay, there's supposed to be a shop down by reception.. *I murmur, having a look round* You ever been up here before?
Billy: Nope. Didn’t have the money so far. I had to get a rich boyfriend first. *I smile* But I would say the reception is down there *I point in one direction*
Karl: I see, you just want me for my money. *I tease* Shame I don't have any. *I laugh, looking the way you are pointing* Why does it have to be a hill? *I grumble* Going down is fine, but then we have to get back up again..
Billy: *I laugh* You had the idea to come up in the Highlands If you had told me earlier I could have warned you that there will be hills up here
Karl: Well, it's good exercise eh? *I sigh, as we start down the hill* Still, it's pretty up here. Apparently this is a ski resort in winter. Guess it's too early in the season yet for that.
Billy: It is, but from what I know in the winter it is swarmed with tourists. So it is a good thing that the season has not begun yet.
Karl: And I'm sure the air is nice and healthy, if rather cold.. *I say agreeably* That must be the shop. *I indicate the small looking store next to reception*
Billy: Imagine what it must be like in winter *I say, referring to your comment about the cold. I look around as we enter the store, which is rather... cozy*
Karl: Well now I know why they have those big open fires. *I laugh* Hey, we should see if they have marshmallows! *I look around the store* or... even just basics like bread and milk could be a bonus.. *I chuckle*
Billy: *I laugh* I am sure they have marshmallows somewhere. *I say as I grab some of said basics. I then walk over to the small shelve where the candy stuff is. I grab some
marshmallows for you and a box of biscuits for me*
Karl: *I eyes the biscuits in your hand* You'll wake up one day to find you're the gingerbread man. *I smirk*
Billy: *I kiss you* You will love me even more then. *I grin and make my way to the cash desk*
Karl: Well, if we get snowed in here at least I can just eat you. *I give you a sideways look and hand over the stuff in my own hands ready to pay*
Billy: *I get out my wallet and laugh slightly* Who says I am sharing myself with you?
Karl: *I start to bag the groceries as they get rung up. I want to make a comment to your last words, but think it may be inappropriate in front of the elderly cashier*
Billy: *I smile at the cashier as I pay for our stuff. I wrap an arm around you as we make our way out again and cuddle up with you as the cold air hits us again.* Up that hill
then *I mumble*
Karl: *I sigh as we begin to trudge up* So, you don't want me eating you then? *I tease as we walk* Funny, but I haven't heard any complains up to now..
Billy: In fact, I don’t care about some licking or nibbling. Just don’t eat my buttons. *I laugh*
Karl: Okay, I'll stick to licking then. *I smile* Well, at least this walk has warmed me up some... *I'm glad we're nearly back at the cabin*
Billy: Warmed you up? I am still freezing *As I finish that sentence we arrive at the cabin and I quickly unlock the door, getting inside where it is nicely warm by now* Much better *I smile*
Karl: *I carry my bags through to the kitchen and place them on the counter, then shrug off my jacket before starting to unpack things* Are you hungry? *I ask as you enter*
Billy: *I simply nod and lean against you, yawning.* What’s on the menu? *I ask, looking up at you*
Karl: *I wrap my arms around you* Well, we have a good supply of gingerbread men.. *I pick up the packet, keeping one arm around you*
Billy: *I laugh* What a healthy dinner, but I won’t complain.
Karl: Hmm, maybe I'll make something a bit more substantial. *I smile, kissing you on the nose before releasing you*
Billy: You need my help? *I smile back at you*
Karl: Umm.. I don't think ready meals require a great deal of preparation.. *I grin, as I pull two out* I'll just stick them in the oven and we can warm up while they cook.
Billy: Warming up sounds good. *I wait for you to put the meals in the oven before we make our way back to the lounge*
