Are you looking for a cheap fixer?
Check out this house:
RMLS #:8090451
(At rmls.com)

It's accross the street from us. It's a gorgeous house that could be turned into a freaking amazing house. They're asking $160k for it!!!!!!!! It's a double lot!!! Built in 1907, so you know it's awesome.

OMG! That would be the coolest! But I am all settled into my little bungalow and I don't know what I would do with 4 bedrooms. LOL.

Oh man....I could think of a million things to do with more space.
Maybe we should buy it...if only.

Cash only offers. They just want to unload it and know that no mortgage company would give a loan for it. :/

Its a corner lot which means under the PDX building code it can be knocked down and multifamily housing built. If I had the cash, I'd buy it.

Right, that's probably what will happen, which sucks ass. There are huge trees on the lot, plus its a 101 year old house. A shame to lose.

A developer will buy it as a tax shelter and build on it eventually. That's my prediction anyway...

"Code violations to be corrected by buyer after sale."

Worrisome.

That's why it's $160. If it were in better condition it could go for $275 easily. If it were in great condition-I'd say 350.

*sigh*

I have been poking around that website and still can't get over how much BIGGER rooms are over there. Properties are generally so much more poky over here.

I would love to relocate to America, solely for the real estate. Anyone wanna lend me a few $$$$$$$$$$$$s? LOL

Where are you again?
That's a really old house, so maybe it's different.

I'm in the UK, Scotland to be exact.

It just seems like a lot of pictures I see of US houses the living area (kitchen/dining/living) seem the same size as my whole apartment *sigh*

I want a big house *stamps feet*
