It's hard to do a reading on this because it looks very obvious that it's from the 80's or early 90's. However, I could guess and say that it was an extra bridesmaid dress. No on all counts, unfortunately. The dress is a wedding gown custom made to look like a dress worn in the 40's by some famous actress whose name I can't remember.
Passed down from one family member to the next(or that is the intention). It used to belong to a father or step-father of the current owner. There's a little bit of wear and tear on the opposite side of it. it isn't a performance guitar, but it gets used for practicing.
It was purchased brand new and has only ever belonged to one person. It's rarely used on stage (although it happens) and mostly gets practiced on or used around a campfire kind of setting. There is no one to pass it on to at present, no one else in his family plays or has any inclinations to do so.
