Well, loans seem terrifying, but it's something that has to be done.
Basically, I am going to find out all I can about it from several sources, save money, get a job in college, and find ways to make money on the side. This is all incredibly intimidating.

Loans are terrifying, no matter what amount you're looking at.
But if you love the school and/or whatever program you're going into, it's all worth it.

That's just a little part of me freaking out about the future and everything basically. This whole "leaving my family to make myself" thing is terrifying.
You're switching into Rutgers, right?

Yeah, I'm switching to Rutgers because;
A. I did the whole 'leaving my family' thing way too suddenly, and I missed them all the time. I had just started to develop a solid relationship with my parents by the time I had moved out. So it was tough.
B. I usually would tell people that the tuition at Rider was too much. But if I lived at Rutgers, it would be the same. The whole small school thing didn't suit me too well.
C. I want to save money for Northwestern when the time comes for me to go to Journalism school.
I'm sure you'll do fine though. The hardest part of freshmen year is adjustment, as cliche as it sounds. As far as loans, I would NOT recommend Sallie Mae. My dad signed off about 10k from them, which isn't a lot really .. but interest is RIDICULOUS.

And I happen to find that today is your birthday.
Happy Birthday Zalina.
