Brady and Patsy:Tea Party in Brady's Room!

May 06, 2004 16:42

Brady jumped a little when Patsy agreed to play tea party, how exciting! Someone to play tea party with that wasn't stuffed and was alive! "My room of course," she insisted, pulling her back towards the stairs and past Mouse and Salene. "I'm not allowed up the stairs alone," she informed her, waiting for her to start going up them before taking ( Read more... )

Patsy smiled as Brady pulled her up the stairs to her room. She grinned brightly watching Brady drop her doll into the chair and run around getting ready. She sat into one of the little chairs Brady had for playing.

"What kind of tea are we having today, Brady?"

Brady tilted her head, twisting her mouth in thought, were there different kinds of tea? "What is your favorite kind of tea?" Brady spread the plates and cups out and the plastic spoons, the sugar bowl and what Brady called the "little tea pot", though it had once been known as the creamer, when there had been such a thing. "We have two kinds you see," she pointed to the big tea pot and the "little tea pot", "So, you tell me what are your two favorite kinds," that worked, maybe Patsy would just tell her what kind of tea to have, Brady had never thought about there being more than just...tea.

Patsy smiled some more.

"Well, when I used to play tea party, we always had tea with honey. My mommy used to make it for me. You can put lots of things in tea. There's Green Tea, and Black Tea, and lots of other kinds my mommy used to drink. But my favorite is tea with honey."

Patsy hoped she was making some sense. She was enjoying playing with Brady, they hadn't played together, just the two of them, for quite a while. It was so much fun, now that Brady could carry conversations.

Brady thought about this, honey that she knew of came out of a squeeze bottle, sometimes it was shaped like a bear, and they only ever had that in the Mall, it was too hard to get for the Eco's, but Brady didn't really know why. "Umm, this is," she paused, pointing to the big tea pot, "blue tea, and this," she pointed to the smaller creamer pitcher, "you're in luck because I made tea with honey earlier," she pretended to pour a cup full of tea with honey for Patsy then poured herself blue tea. Brady sipped on her cup and jumped, "It's still too hot, don't burn your mouth," she warned her while shaking her head. She picked up a plate and held it out at Patsy, "Cookie? Mommy made them, they are," hmmm what kind of cookie? "Sugar cookies," she motioned at the empty plate, imaginary food was the best, it didn't need to be cleaned up and it could be almost anything you wanted!
